Shooting a Nottoway Plantation wedding has been one of our goals for years. We’ve had numerous couples want to book Dark Roux for their Nottoway Plantation wedding but we book up so quickly and this venue in particular has eluded us for years, but no longer!! We spent the entire day with Celeste and Michael. Celeste and her girls got ready at the salon on the plantation’s property. It was such a great atmosphere for everyone. Michael and his guys got ready in Baton Rouge and spent their time beforehand checking out the old ship locks in front of their church, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The church was gorgeous…. That’s all I can really say, it was stunning.
Leslie Campbell Weddings and events made sure to have Nottoway looking its best and the details that she and Celeste put together had so much style and were so unique to Celeste’s vision. All of the floral arrangements were put together by The Plantation Florist and we loved the tulip bouquet they made for Celeste to carry down the aisle. The night’s jams were provided by Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue who played some of the best music we’ve ever heard at a wedding and put such a great twist on the evening. We’re huge music fans and not hearing the ‘wobble’ but instead some Johnny Cash just made our night! Celeste has been one of the sweetest brides we’ve worked with and it’s gonna be a long time before I forget the blackberry dumplings she made for us!!!
