If this wasn’t a true New Orleans wedding, then nothing is! We met up with Lizzie and David earlier this year for their forever session down in the Bywater neighborhood and we knew right then and there that this coupe is special. You can see their casual engagement here (https://darkroux.com/new-orleans-engagement-lizzie-and-david/). Both of them got ready at the Roosevelt Hotel in the CBD of New Orleans which is perfect not only because of their atmosphere but it’s also right across the street from their church so travel time was super fast with no traffic jams. The ceremony was a full Catholic mass which is super common here in New Orleans, followed by an insane second line at the most perfect time of day. We were in the CBD so the jazz was literally echoing off the tall buildings bringing out crowds of people to see what the music was about. The second line finished up at the foot of the Federal Ballroom, which welcomed Lizze and David with their own scrolling marquee which is pretty cool to see your name in lights. From there the music played and the people danced. An incredible evening, even with a few guests that we knew. It’s always so much fun to see past couples of ours who we’ve photographed at weddings!! Congratulations Lizze and David!!
