Brett and Meagan didn’t have a regular wedding-they had a “Pandemic wedding”. They had been put through the wringer trying to plan a giant traditional wedding-and they weren’t waiting for things to get back to “normal”! With the help of their incredible planner Taylor Quintini with Weddings Taylor Made they managed to change their plans a million times to make sure their wedding was totally in line with the guidelines and restrictions outlined by the Louisiana Governor. They both got ready at the Monteleone Hotel, and it was eerily empty in there. It’s pretty wild to be in a space that’s typically bustling with tourists heading out from the Carousel Bar that was completely closed during their stay. Meagan and her father had the sweetest First Look with her mother close by. Meagan’s father has dementia and Parkinson’s and this was a huge factor in the decision to hold firm with their original wedding date. They headed to St. Louis Cathedral for a socially distanced ceremony including guests with masks and skipped pews. The priests also wore masks, but even with all of the safety precautions it felt like a traditional ceremony full of love. After the ceremony everyone hopped on busses to Houmas House Plantation for some celebrating. With all of the drinking and dancing it almost felt pre-pandemic. At the end of the evening Meagan and Brett second lined their way out of the venue returning to the busses to head back to New Orleans. We really wish these two all the best and know that if they can rock n roll through their wedding during the middle of these strange times that they will be just fine!!
